The Art of Perception is an innovative professional development program that teaches participants in a variety of leadership capacities to analyze works of art as a vehicle to enhance their observation, and perception skills, as well as refine their communication of both vision and strategy. While leaders by nature are observant and perceptive, there is a consistent breakdown across the professional spectrum in precise communication of both complex strategic planning and exchanges of critical information. The Art of Perception addresses these deficiencies directly by engaging leaders in exercises in perception and communication as they relate to strategic thinking as well as client relationships and which also happen to be thought provoking, eye-opening, and fun.
While enhanced observation and perception skills are the paramount objectives of The Art of Perception, a secondary outcome is the refinement of inter- and intra-team communication. The exchange of information within a company as well as with an industry at large must be premised on accuracy and precision at all times. Painting, photography and sculpture are used to address issues of bias, assumptions, and inclusion that are critical for leaders across the professional spectrum.
